Frequently Asked Questions About PrimeTimers

  • Are there monthy dues to be paid at the monthly meetings?

No.  However, if you are playing dominoes with any of the retired ministers, you might want to keep one hand on your pocketbook.  There's your warning!!

  • Is the Television Show "PrimeTimer" named after the Pioneer Drive PrimeTimers?

Yes, ABC orginally had planned on H.B. Terry and Joan Rogers being hosts. Their contracts demanded too much money and they were replaced.

  • Is it true the PrimeTimers eat everytime they meet?

Yes!. . .  some more than others.  Would you like some names?

  • Do you have to be sixty years old to be a PrimeTimer?

Yes and No. . . only one exception is allowed.  If you bake delicious homemade chocolate pies, brownies, cookies or cakes and you are willing to share with your favorite PrimeTimer Leader (that would be Jeff Reid) then welcome to PrimeTimers!!

  • What famous television personality once said, "You know, if I lived in Abilene, Texas, I would be a Pioneer Drive PrimeTimer?"

Art Linkletter!!

  • Is sleeping on the chartered bus during long trips permitted?

Good news/bad news. . . the good news is that we take naps every afternoon unless it is your turn to drive the bus.  The bad news is that there is a little mustached elf roaming the bus with his sneaky camera.  BEWARE!

  • The "PrimeTimer Wear" is so fashionable and is always in style, who is the designer?

Oscar de la Reid

  • It would be "Heavenly" to have Bro. Stan as a PrimeTimer.  When will he be eligible??
