Adoption costs mean "buying children"
- Reality: Adoption agencies, attorneys, courts, US Government, foreign governments all have services that are provided to you for your adoption. Watch the language and sentiment of those around you
When the time is right, you simply pick out your adopted child from a lineup
- Reality: Only foster/adopt programs truly provide parents with the ability to know their child prior to adopting. But foster parenting is hardly picking a child from a lineup!
Wealthy people get preferential treatment
- Reality: State Laws and Hague Convention govern adoption processes. Neither provide for the ability to use money to change the outcome of an adoption.
"If we were meant to have children, we would have gotten pregnant by now"
Reality: Adoption isn't God's plan B. It’s a different plan A. Being a mother or father in the Biblical definition is not the product of genetics and biology. It is the reflection of unconditional love to a child, just as God gives us his unconditional love.
